Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before entering into a contract with Rockies Maps. By engaging in any business arrangement with Rockies Maps, you agree to be bound by the following terms:

1. Payment Terms

1.1 Payment for advertising in the Banff & Canmore Visitor Map is processed through Stripe. Clients can pay via credit card or other payment methods supported by Stripe.

1.2 Full payment is due when any of the following occurs, whichever comes first:

  • (a) The Client approves the proof of the advertisement,

  • (b) The Client submits the advertisement,

  • (c) April 1st, prior to the edition's distribution.

1.3 The Client agrees to pay for one edition per year, with new editions launching in June and distributed weekly.

1.4 If payment is not received by the specified due date, a late fee of 5% per month will be applied to any overdue balance, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to
petermejiarealtor@gmail.com

2.2 Cancellations made after March 1st to an edition that starts distribution in June of the same year will not be refunded. However, cancellations after distribution starts (June) for the following year’s edition will not incur additional fees, provided the Client has already paid for the printed edition.

3. Proof and Changes

3.1 For ads designed by Rockies Maps, the Client will receive a proof for approval before printing.

3.2 Clients are entitled to one revision. Any additional revisions will be charged at $50/hour.

4. Artwork Ownership and Copyright

4.1 The Client warrants that they are the sole owner of any artwork or photo used in their advertisement, or that they have obtained permission to use it for this purpose.

4.2 Rockies Maps reserves the right to reject any artwork that may infringe on someone else's copyright or trademark.

4.3 The Client is fully responsible for any legal consequences that may arise from the use of copyrighted or trademarked material.

5. Liability

5.1 Rockies Maps’ liability is limited to the price paid by the Client for the advertisement in the edition where an error or omission occurs, due to Rockies Maps' fault.

5.2 Rockies Maps is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages resulting from errors in advertisements.

5.3 The Client must notify Rockies Maps of any errors within one week of receiving proofs or ads. Once the ad is approved, it is considered final, and Rockies Maps is not responsible for any further errors.

6. Credits

6.1 Credits for future advertisements will be issued as a non-expiring gift voucher and can be applied toward future ads in the Banff & Canmore Visitor Map.

7. Distribution and Refunds

7.1 While Rockies Maps strives to distribute the Banff & Canmore Visitor Map as planned, 100% distribution accuracy is not guaranteed.

7.2 Once the ad is printed, there is nothing we can do for the duration of that edition (because we only print once a year). If an error is made on our behalf, a refund or credit may be issued for the affected ad space, subject to our discretion.

7.3 No refunds will be issued for delays in publication or distribution. If there is a delay, the Client will receive an extended advertising period at no extra charge.

8. Cross Promotion and Privacy

8.1 Rockies Maps may cross-promote the Client's business on the Alberta Mountain Living social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.

8.2 There is no limit to cross-promotion. This may include tagging the Client's business and posting a brief description of the Client's services.

8.3 If the Client does not wish to be cross-promoted, they can contact Rockies Maps via email at petermejiarealtor@gmail.com, and their request will be respected.

9. Governing Law

9.1 All matters regarding the interpretation, validity, and effect of the contract shall be governed by the laws of Alberta, with jurisdiction in Canmore.

By entering into a contract with Rockies Maps, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
